Fears vary in severity from mild anxiety to deep rooted phobias. Often people are concerned about losing control or about situations being out of their control.

Hypnotherapist Ailsa Frank is sensitive to the needs of her clients and works with them at a pace that is comfortable for them. Each session is tailored to the individual releasing tensions related to the fear and replacing it with calming relaxation. Follow up techniques like self hypnosis are taught to give back control to the client so they can handle the future with ease.

Hypnotherapy is a fully conscious deep relaxation similar to day dreaming or waking first thing in the morning, during this time the sub conscious part of the mind is able to take on positive suggestions. You will only make changes at your pace for your good.

The first step is to find a therapist who you feel comfortable with and then to give yourself time to build a trusting relationship with the therapist. Living with a fear is much harder than a course of hypnotherapy sessions but the individual has to be ready to pick the phone up and make the appointment.

Children often worry about things which can develope into more serious phobias.  It is best to deal with them as they arise and hypnotherapy is a safe treatment to help children.

"I have overcome my fear of going in public toilets thanks to you and the hypnotherapy."

"My anxiety had consumed my whole life stopping me from even going to the shops, each hypnotherapy session helped me get my life back.  It is amazing that I only had 4 appointments and the progress I have made is remarkable.  I find myself singing to myself doing the cooking as I am so relaxed."

“Just a quick message with a very belated thank you for a great hypnotherapy session and for sending me the bach flower remedies. I really do feel that both have done me the world of good - I feel quite different which is the idea a suppose! I really am feeling quite settled and contented and have no overwhelming fears in my mind. Many thanks” M’s W from Surrey, January 2006

"I recently enjoyed my flight!  I never thought I would hear myself say anything positive about a flying." 2008

"I tried hypnotherapy to help me calm when I have to go to the dentist and especially when I need to have work done.  I am now much more calm and relaxed with check-ups, x-rays and minor proceedures.  I am glad I decided to try hypnotherapy.  The techniques I learned are useful in lots of situations" Mrs N Wokingham 01/06/07

" Before the hypnotherapy I felt I was working all hours and a slave to my job.  I can see now it was all of this that caused the anxiety and fears.  Now i am in control and I know I can use the techniques if I ever need to.  I am much better at switching off from work and enjoying the weekend.  I don't get the Sunday evening nerves about going to work on Monday."

"I couldn't even go in a lift before the hypnotherapy for my fear of heights but recently scaled a huge mountain on an excursion to my families surprise."

"I hadn't been to the dentist for several years- just the thought stressed me.  After two sessions of hypnotherapy I booked an appointment with the dentist and quite enjoyed it surprisingly!" Berkshire March 2007
